Posted: Jul 6, 2017 3:02 AM Feathers on the Grass First off I want to apologize for the quality of the grass and lack of shadows. I upgraded Blender and am having a few issues.That said... This is supposed to be an overall peaceful seen. Feather's from some bird have been gathered onto this one spot on the grass. This was a big practice in texture work for me in this picture. I spent an hour making the texture on the feather in Photoshop and believe it or not, Blender itself. I had Blender make a pattern which I imported to Photoshop which subsequently got imported as the feather texture in Blender. Weird world isn't it? I personally am really happy with how this turned out. While a few things may be off it was valuable and successful work with UV Mapping image textures instead of just using Blender's procedural texture's as I normally do.
